Microdermabrasion

The DiamondTome wand is the original crystal free Microdermabrasion device. With natural diamond chips embedded in the tip, this wand glides over your skin to clear away dirt, debris and dead skin cells, revealing a smoother and clearer complexion.

What is DiamondTome Microdermabrasion?

Traditional Microdermabrasion treatments use tiny crystals – rather than diamonds – to remove the outer layer of skin. While these treatments were undeniably effective, they also had their drawbacks. For one, the crystals were highly abrasive and created inflammation and heat on the skin. If patients already suffered from inflammation, for example, due to rosacea or acne, this approach could actually make their condition worse. In addition, the crystal based method resulted in a bit of downtime, which isn’t ideal for busy men and women who have lives, careers and families to get back to.

How does DiamondTome Microdermabrasion work?

Your skin goes through a lot on a daily basis. After continuously fighting against the sun’s harmful rays, harsh winds, toxins and pollution, eventually your complexion will show signs of the battle. Your body’s natural defenses will begin to break down and your skin will appear dry, rough, damaged and dull.

When one of our patented face and body wands is applied to your skin, the outer layer that has been exposed to and damaged by the elements is gradually removed. After several sessions, that layer is gone and all of the imperfections that exist on it (such as fine lines, shallow acne scars, age spots, etc.) improve.

Does DiamondTome Microdermabrasion Hurt?

Treatment with our diamond tipped face wands are considered “lunch hour” procedures. They take about 25 to 45 minutes, and you will be able to return to work and your normal daily activities right away. You may appear slightly flushed and red in the treatment area right after your appointment, though these effects should disappear within half an hour.

What Can Be Treated With DiamondTome Microdermabrasion?

Our patented DiamondTome exfoliation wands are designed to accomplish two goals. First, they improve general skin health, for an overall more rejuvenated appearance. Secondly, they target specific skin conditions, including: sun damage, age spots, fine lines, acne scarring, oily skin, hyperpigmentation, blackheads and whiteheads.

In addition, the DiamondTome wands come in a variety of configurations depending on the area of the body you’re having treated. For example, the flat and round wands are ideal for treating areas that require more precision, such as the face, neck and hands. There are also different contoured wands that are specifically designed to treat delicate features or larger surface areas.

How Many Sessions Are Recommended?

For longer-lasting and more significant changes, you will probably require about three to six sessions spaced a couple of weeks apart, and then maintenance visits every couple of months moving forward.

Is There Any Downtime With DiamondTome Microdermabrasion?

There’s no downtime associated with the DiamondTome wand, with most clients only reporting minor redness shortly after their treatment.
