Fillers have become increasingly popular as they can quickly decrease common signs of aging. Whether you’re battling wrinkles and fine lines, sunken areas or even thin lips, fillers can be used to treat them.
Am I Suitable For Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are suitable for both men and women who have developed lines and wrinkles due to the aging process.
How Do Dermal Fillers Work?
Injectable fillers usually consist of an AHA crystal-clear gel, which is produced biotechnologically using stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid and water.
Hyaluronic acid is a tissue-friendly substance, resembling the hyaluronic acid that occurs naturally in the body. Once injected into the skin, the hyaluronic acid works to restore the body’s natural supply by revitalizing and plumping the skin, instantly eradicating lines and wrinkles to provide a softer look.
What Does The Procedure Involve?
A small amount of filler is injected into the skin using a very fine needle. Once the treatment is complete, the results can be seen instantly. Lines will be smoothed away or lips and cheeks will appear fuller. The treatment is usually very quick and often takes less than 30 minutes.
Most of the new dermal filler products now contain Hyaluronic Acid gels, which contain local anesthetic. This will minimize pain considerably less than previous filler products.
Of course, everyone experiences pain at different levels and those who are more sensitive to pain may feel mild discomfort. Therefore a local anesthetic cream can be applied to the surface of the skin to numb the area.
