SKIN FUNDAMENTALS
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This Skin Fundamentals course provides students with in depth advanced training on the Skin. This course will provide students with an understanding of the layers of the skin and the abnormalities associated with the skin as we mature and the aging process occurs. The learner will be able to recognize the skin conditions. The training includes skin anatomy and physiology, skin typing, sanitation and disinfection. Students will learn safety fundamentals, how to perform consultations with clients, pre and post care charting and documenting the progress of clients.
Graduates will receive a certificate upon completion of this course. A passing mark of 80% is required on all tests for completion.
The successful graduate will be well versed in the skills needed to begin a career in the beauty industry.
PREREQUISITES: No prerequisites are required for this certificate course.
