Course Outline
This Advanced Skin Care certificate course provides students with in depth advanced training for various types of exfoliation and skincare treatments.
All About the Skin Academy provides a theoretical and practical approach to advanced learning in a clinical setting. The Advanced Skin Care certificate course is an in depth one on one course teaching advanced skin treatments and the professionalism involved in appropriate client care. This course will provide students with an understanding of the layers of the skin and the abnormalities associated with the skin as we mature and the aging process occurs. The learner will be able to recognize the skin conditions and apply different forms of specialized treatments to improve the skin.
The training includes skin anatomy and physiology, advanced skin care, skin typing, sanitation, disinfection and the use of state-of-the-art technology such as SilkPeel and Diamondtome. Students will learn safety fundamentals, how to perform consultations with clients, pre and post care charting and documenting the progress of clients.
Within a Clinical setting the student will focus on hands on treatments that are in line with the current industry demands and standards. Treatments include Microdermabrasion, dermal infusion and various types of chemical peels.

Course Length
25 hours Theory and Practical (In clinical setting).
The successful graduate will be well versed in the skills needed to be successful in the beauty industry.
Prerequisites
Medical Aesthetics Diploma required for this certificate course.
Recommended Grade 12 graduate or Mature Student (18 years +)
Graduates will receive a certificate upon a completion of this course. A passing mark of 80% is required on all tests for completion.
